Smart Repair Technician - Wakefield - Motor Trade

About the Role

Riverside Motor Group is looking for an experienced and skilled Smart Repair Technician to join our dedicated team at our Vehicle Preparation Centre in Wakefield.

As a Smart Repair Technician, you'll play an important role in ensuring our vehicles are prepared to the highest possible standard. You'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality cosmetic and minor vehicle repairs efficiently, helping to ensure vehicles are ready for sale and presented in excellent condition.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in their workmanship, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out SMART repairs and minor cosmetic repairs to vehicles.
  • Assess vehicle damage and identify the most appropriate repair methods.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer and company standards.
  • Conduct inspections and identify any additional repairs required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed.
  • Work closely with the wider Vehicle Preparation team to ensure vehicles are ready within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Ensure all work is completed with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

About You

You will have:

  • Previous experience as a SMART Repair Technician or in a similar automotive repair role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle cosmetic repair techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • The ability to work efficiently and manage your workload effectively.
  • Confidence working independently as well as part of a wider team.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Relevant automotive repair qualifications are desirable but not essential.
