A clever hybrid

In ‘Hybrid Drive’, both the combustion engine and electric motors seamlessly share the work, constantly adjusting to cope with steep hills, town traffic and open roads more efficiently.

Recharging and regenerative braking

At higher speeds, such as cruising on a motorway, the combustion engine will provide the power and recharge the battery. When you slow down, regenerative braking will also charge the battery from the energy that would normally be wasted. All this energy can provide you with a strong boost of pure electrified acceleration when you need it – particularly useful when overtaking. 

Fully Convenient

The e: HEV, the full hybrid system is more convenient than a plug-in hybrid, as it eliminates the hassle of overnight charging. A PHEV has regenerative braking, but it’s not enough to fully recharge, so it will rely heavily on the combustion engine when the battery is low. Consequently, it uses more fuel to overcome the weight of the larger battery and heavy powertrain if not plugged in and charged properly.

Intelligent and dynamic

Our unique powertrain is intelligent and is always automatically shifting between Electric, Hybrid and Engine drive modes, according to the conditions.
The ‘Electric Drive’ provides exhilarating acceleration from a standstill – just like an electric car – as our e: HEV system can use full electric power independently from the combustion engine. This model also works at a moderate speed to deliver a smooth and quiet driving experience.

Emotive Design​​

The CR-V's silhouette may be familiar but the design is new from the ground up. Every one of its sleek dynamic lines, from its muscular wheel arches to its sculpted bonnet, has been developed to enhance performance and maximise aerodynamic efficiency. ​

Inner Calm​

The CR-V's interior has been designed to maximise a feeling of connection between you and the car. Clean lines provide a sense of space, enhanced by contrasting materials with beautifully crafted finishes. The controls have been positioned to be intuitive and simple, so although you are surrounded by clever technology it's never intrusive.

Thanks to Honda's active noise control, which is standard across the range, the interior is a quiet calm environment. It's also extremely comfortable with four-way power lumbar support for the heated front seats with the availability of heated rear seats and steering wheel*. Ensuring every journey is taken with the utmost comfort and relaxation.

Introducing the Sport Line​

The sports line takes CR-V design to a new level. Created to make a bolder statement, it brings together a collection of stylish accents that offer a sporting take on the world's favourite SUV.

Available in Crystal Black Pearl, the Sport Line transforms the CR-V with a range of upgrades that truly set it apart. Its dark chrome grille is crafted to catch the eye, as are the matching trims on the bumpers, tailgate and sill garnish. The theme continues with the front lights and smoked rear lights while imposing 18" wheels add an undeniable sense of road presence. Completing the picture are the door mirrors with their black gloss finish.

Honda has developed a whole range of technologies to make driving the CR-V a truly engaging experience. The head-up display system projects essential information within your sight line, so you don't need to take your eyes off the road; whilst comprehensive driving data is clearly displayed in the Intelligent Multi Info Display and can be accessed through your steering wheel controls. 

A centrally mounted 7" full-colour touchscreen infotainment system Honda CONNECT* can neatly link to your smartphone so now you can access apps, contacts, emails, music, streaming and more. Keeping you connected to your world and the things you love. ​

You pack a lot into your life, so we wanted to design an interior that could fit it all in. The CR-V provides a flexible and practical space, full of clever storage ideas, generous amounts of legroom and a large boot capacity of up to 1,692 litres* with the rear seats folded. It has also been designed to make your life easier, with convenient features such as a hands-free access tailgate*, one-motion folding seats and a flat boot floor to maximise loading. ​

Dynamic Drive​

The CR-V is now available with Honda's next-generation e: HEV hybrid technology. Featuring an intelligent Multi-Mode Drive system, it combines a powerful and efficient 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol engine with high-tech electric motors, to give effortless driveability you will enjoy every day.

Underneath Honda has designed a lightweight chassis to be the most sophisticated ever created for CR-V complemented by their new Macpherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear set-up. Together they ensure an agile drive with excellent levels of comfort.

All Wheel Drive ​

The electronically controlled real time AWD with intelligent Control System has been designed to automatically step in when loss of traction is detected. 

For instance, the system can detect when the CR-V is climbing a hill and send greater power to the wheels. When this extra torque is no longer required, the multi-plate clutch automatically disconnects the propeller shaft from the rear differential, saving fuel. ​
