Summary

As a paint technician, you will play a vital role in safely delivering exceptional finish to paint jobs on vehicles, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer expectations.

As an automotive painter, you will be responsible for auto body work and performing a variety of tasks to ensure flawless paint application and the creation of stunning car finishes. Your main responsibilities on the job will include:

  • Surface preparation
  • Mixing and colour matching
  • Paint application
  • Finishing and polishing
  • Attention to detail
  • Paint defect repair

Requirements

  • Experience in surface prep (cleaning, sanding, masking) for paint jobs.
  • Skilled in paint mixing and colour matching using colour codes and systems.
  • Proficient in applying primers, base coats, and clear coats with spray equipment.
  • Ability to polish, buff, and correct paint imperfections for a smooth finish.
  • Familiar with repairing minor defects like chips, scratches, and dents.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and proper equipment handling.
  • Team player with good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience maintaining tools and accurate job records.
  • Willingness to learn and stay current with industry techniques.
