The Role
As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out advanced diagnostics, repairs, and routine servicing across a range of vehicles. You will consistently deliver high-quality workmanship, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to the highest manufacturer and industry standards. Strong attention to detail and effective communication will be essential, particularly when liaising with Service Advisors and customers to explain work required
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing in line with manufacturer and factory standards.
- Complete thorough vehicle inspections, accurately identifying faults and recommending additional work.
- Clearly communicate technical issues and repair requirements to customers in a professional and approachable manner.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, manufacturer specifications, and industry regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Oversee servicing, repairs, and parts replacement, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and customer satisfaction is achieved.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Level 3 IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician in a similar workshop environment.
- MOT Tester qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Strong fault-finding abilities and experience carrying out complex repairs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- A customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to support and develop a team of technicians.
- A full, valid driving licence with no excessive penalty points.
