Dealership Accountant

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Dealership Accountant to join our growing team at Riverside Motor Group. You will play a key role in producing accurate management accounts, monitoring financial performance, and supporting the smooth financial operation of our dealerships. You will be based at our locations in Hull, Doncaster and Wakefield.

Essentials (You Must Have)

• Previous motor retail accounting experience (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Strong organisational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor financial performance across dealership departments.
• Support preparation and submission of manufacturer composites.
• Reconcile balance sheets and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and stock checks.
• Provide financial advice and support to dealership management.
• Ensure financial records and transactions are accurate and up to date.
• Support business planning and ad-hoc finance projects.

About You

• Experienced in motor retail finance with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident working independently and as part of a wider accounts team.
• Strong communicator with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
