Area Aftersales Manager (West Yorkshire)

Job summary:


As Area Aftersales Manager you will organise all activities to ensure a highly efficient and profitable operation within your area. With a foremost focus of satisfying customers and enhancing customer relations at all times, in this role you will also ensure the control of resources to utilise assets to ensure our business plans are achieved.


Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coaching aftersales teams to achieve objectives.
  • Supporting Service Managers to achieving 100% of the budgeted financial and operational objectives.
  • Organising Aftersales activities to ensure the efficient and profitable operation, satisfying customers and enhancing customer relations.
  • Maximising Aftersales departmental profitability through the effective marketing and sale of labour, parts, accessories, lubricants, other charges, subcontracted services and other value-added products and services.
  • Ensuring compliance of all Group and Brand Aftersales processes and initiatives.
  • Developing and enhancing brand relationships, ensuring performance in the top quartile of all Brand measurement.
  • Creating an environment where the Aftersales departments’ colleagues develop and excel, within a team culture of high performance and excellence.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience of leading and managing successful teams at a high level to deliver results.
  • Proven experience in a Service Management capacity is desirable, and a deep understanding of the service core process is essential.
  • A customer centric approach, always striving to deliver service above customer expectations.
  • Technical skills, knowledge and experience of the retail motor industry in a management position.
  • Ability to organise clerical work, administration, control systems and financial resources. High standards of numeracy and literacy along with strong communication skills are essential.
  • Proven leadership and coaching attributes to lead, influence and coach others into delivering results.
  • Technical, professional and engineering qualifications are desirable.
  • Member of the Institute of the Motor Industry preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • A strong team player with the ability to think strategically when making decisions.
  • A driving license free from excessive penalties.
